Biography
Nivin Paulyനിവിൻ പോളി
From a desk job in Infosys to the heart of Malayalam cinema.
Born on 11 October 1984 in Aluva, Ernakulam, Nivin Pauly grew up in a middle-class family far removed from the film industry. An engineering degree and a job at Infosys seemed to map out his future — until cinema interrupted everything.
His accidental entry into acting through a small role in Bombay March 12 (2003) went unnoticed, but a decade later a call from Vineeth Sreenivasan changed his life forever. Malarvadi Arts Club (2010) introduced Nivin to audiences, and Thattathin Marayathu (2012) made him a household name overnight.
Two back-to-back State Best Actor awards, a ₹100-crore blockbuster, and a cultural phenomenon called Premam cemented his place as one of the most distinctive stars in contemporary Indian cinema. Known for choosing characters over stardom, Nivin continues to redefine what it means to be a leading man.
